What a wedding in Sicily costs
Cost here depends far more on how many people come and where you hold it than on style. A hundred guests in Taormina and thirty in the Val di Noto are different projects, not different taste.
How much does a wedding in Sicily cost?
The weddings we plan start at around €15,000, and that number on its own tells you almost nothing. It describes a small celebration outside peak season at a venue that already has kitchens — change any one of those three and it moves considerably.
That is the honest problem with published prices in this business: the same figure looks expensive to one couple and surprisingly reasonable to another, because they are picturing different weddings. A hundred guests in Taormina in July and thirty in the Val di Noto in October are different projects, not different taste.
So we do it the other way round. Tell us roughly how many people, which part of the island and when, and you get a realistic range in the first conversation — usually in about ten minutes, and before anyone writes a proposal. If the number does not work, that is a short conversation rather than a wasted month.

What drives the cost of a wedding in Sicily
Guest count moves everything. Catering, seating, transport, staff and often the venue itself are priced per head, so going from forty to eighty is closer to doubling the budget than adding to it.
Region comes second. Taormina is the most expensive part of the island for the same wedding: venues, hotels and the logistics of a town where everything is carried in by hand. The Val di Noto is meaningfully less, and the Messina coast less again.
Season is third. The same Saturday costs more in July than in October, and hotel rates for your guests move even more than venue rates do.

Three ways a Sicilian wedding is usually built
Rather than a price list, it is more useful to describe the three shapes these weddings tend to take. Most couples recognise themselves in one of them within a minute, and that alone narrows the number considerably.

Where couples overspend
Almost always on the guest list, and almost always early, before it is clear what each additional person costs across every line at once.
The second most common is choosing a venue that needs everything brought in — generators, kitchens, furniture, sometimes plumbing. Those venues photograph beautifully and are genuinely worth it sometimes, but the number is not the rental fee.

Common questions
Why won't you publish prices?
Because a number without a guest count and a region is meaningless, and quoting one anyway is how couples end up disappointed twice. We give you a range on the first call instead, which takes about ten minutes.
Is Sicily cheaper than the Amalfi Coast or Lake Como?
Generally yes, for a comparable wedding — often noticeably so. Suppliers, venues and accommodation all cost less, and the island is less shaped by luxury tourism.
What is the cheapest way to do this well?
A smaller guest list in the south-east, outside peak season, at a venue that already has kitchens and rooms. That combination buys more than cutting individual lines ever will.
How is the planner's fee structured?
It depends on scope — full planning, partial or coordination — and we set it out clearly before anything is signed. It is a line in the budget like any other, not a percentage that grows quietly.
